Good Shabbos Atlanta
Good Shabbos, Atlanta! is an engaging and exciting game show that takes place usually on the first Shabbat of the month from Rosh Hashanah until Passover. Contestants are randomly chosen from the audience and are quizzed on a range of topics, from the weekly Torah portion, to the State of Israel, to Jewish American history and more. The winner receives a prize with a cash value of $36.00. The program begins approximately at 10:45 AM and runs for approximately one hour. There is no entrance or other fee. Bring your 2-8 year old child to explore the weekly Torah portion from a whole new perspective! Usually Parsha Yoga takes place the first Shabbat of the month at 10:45 AM and runs for approximately one hour. There is no entrance fee or other fee to attend. Havdalah in the Highlands
Bring along an instrument and join us every Saturday night for a musical and inspiring havdalah ceremony, usually at Rabbi Freedman’s home. We have the sheet music printed and ready, so please bring along your instrument or use one of ours. (We have a keyboard, guitar, ukulele, saxophone, clarinet, trombone, and violin available.) The time and location varies depending on the week so please check our calendar for the latest information. There is no fee to attend and havdalah runs around ten minutes. Lox ‘N Learning is a Torah discussion over breakfast that takes place the 3rd Sunday of the month at 9:30 at Anshi. A full spread breakfast is provided and the conversation gets compelling and interesting with everyone involved. The topics that we study are varied; one week it can be about an upcoming holiday and another week it can be about a recent moral dilemma that was in the media. There is no charge to attend and no RSVP required. Please check our calendar to make sure that we are on, if you would like to join us, as occasionally Lox ‘N Learning will be postponed or canceled.
